Strangely, PS Plus Premium subscribers will be able to download PS1 and PS2 games to the PS5, so why not the PS3? There hasn’t been any explanation from Sony. Still, many people have suggested that the PS3’s architecture is so complex that it’s difficult to emulate. Sony does not seem interested in investing the money to resolve the issue when cloud streaming already offers the solution.
Is It Possible to Buy Digital PS3 Games on The PS5?
Digital games cannot be purchased on the PS5. Come June 2022; you’ll have to subscribe to either PS Now or PS Plus Premium to play games from the PS3 library.
